Sewing Gift Bags
Each pair of shoes and clothing gift card My New Red Shoes provides the children we serve is packaged in a gift bag hand-sewn and personalized by a volunteer.
Sewing gift bags is a fun, hands-on volunteer project that can also be turned into a one-day service project for a group of children or adults. The time, love and effort you put into these bags make a big difference to the children we serve - and to their families. “Your donation of back to school shoes, gift cards, note cards with good luck wishes and cloth bags was amazing. Our students were taken aback at your generosity. Their self-confidence was boosted by feeling proud of how they looked and [they] were ready to return to school to work.” - Partner Agency Professional, 2012 You can start today, sewing gift bags at home, by downloading these simple instructions. When you have finished sewing, please mail or send this Completed Bag Form with the bags to My New Red Shoes. You can also join us in sewing gift bags at My New Red Shoes.
