This summer, My New Red Shoes plans to serve 6,000 children!
That’s right – our goal is to provide brand new shoes and clothing to 6,000 homeless and
low income children in 2014. But, we will only be able to reach that ambitious goal if troops, like yours,
consider holding Shoe Drive.
How Does it Work?
Hosting a shoe drive couldn't be easier! My New Red Shoes will provide you with all of the materials you’ll need for a successful drive.
Drop Off Locations:
San Francisco County: TBD
Alameda County: Girl Scouts Office (7700 Edgewater Dr, Ste 340, Oakland, 94621)
San Mateo County: My New Red Shoes Office (330 Twin Dolphin Drive, Suite 135, Redwood City 94065)
Santa Clara County: Girl Scouts Office (1310 S Bascom Ave, San Jose 95128)
All you have to do is:
1) Decide when you want to host your shoe drive. You can host a drive at any point in time but our 4 drop off locations will only be available during the month of April.
2) Decide where you want to host your shoe drive. Will you just be collecting shoes within your troop? You may want to consider extending it to your school or partnering with other troops to reach a larger audience. You could also add a shoe drive element to another event that is already taking place.
3) And publicize!
