Engage your employees in meaningful, easy, hands-on activities that support homeless and low-income children in your neighborhood. My New Red Shoes offers several opportunities for engagement. These projects can be done in or out of your office. Each plan is designed specifically to fit the needs of your company and employees.
Small Change is BIG Change - Clothe a Child Drive Your company can help turn loose change into the gift of confidence for a Bay Area child – and it’s easy! My New Red Shoes provides the container and you provide the counter space and encouragement! The money raised by your office will go towards supporting children in a shelter near your office.
Host a Shoe DriveCollect brand new, athletic style shoes for homeless children. Set up a collection through your school, office, or friends. We'll provide you with photos, stories, and information about the children we serve. We need to collect 4,000 shoes this year! Hold a Company-Wide Calculator or Crayon Drive Set up a collection box in your office and collect brand new calculators or new boxes of crayons for homeless and very low-income students. These gifts are placed in the back-to-school gift bags. My New Red Shoes will provide stories about the children we serve, statistics on homeless families, and a collection box. Host a Back-to-School Party At back-to-school parties, the homeless children receive the gifts provided by you and the community. This is a fun and meaningful hands-on activity that takes place in July or August before the children start back at school.
